Why Markdown?

Your Career Context File is a .md (Markdown) file — a lightweight, universal text format that AI tools read faster and more accurately than PDFs, Word docs, or plain text. You don't need any special software to open it — but more importantly, it gives AI the cleanest, most structured input possible. Better input, better output.

Rejection hurts. Especially when it's done by a machine that didn't fully understand you.

If you've been auto-rejected 50, 100, 200 times — the problem probably wasn't your experience.
It was that a machine couldn't parse your story.

75%
of resumes are rejected by applicant tracking systems What is an Applicant Tracking System? An applicant tracking system (ATS) is software that employers use to collect, sort, and filter job applications. Think of it as a digital gatekeeper. It scans your resume for keywords, formatting, and qualifications before a human ever sees it. If your resume doesn't match what the system is looking for, you're automatically rejected — no matter how qualified you are. Most large companies use one. You've probably applied through one without knowing it. before a human ever reads them
200+
applications sent with zero callbacks Why zero callbacks? Applicant tracking systems can reject a resume based on surprisingly subtle mismatches — the wrong bullet character, an incompatible font, a .pages file instead of .pdf, or even a two-column layout the parser can't read. One wrong choice and your resume never lands with a recruiter or hiring manager, no matter what it says. — a story shared by thousands
98%
of Fortune 500 companies use ATS to pre-screen every applicant Why do companies use ATS? The volume of applicants to open positions is only increasing, creating an overwhelming workload for recruiters desperately trying to find the needle in the haystack. When your resume matches properly with an open position, it helps recruiters work faster and find talent sooner — which is good for both you and your future employer.

The modern hiring funnel doesn't start with a human. It starts with an algorithm trained to match keywords, penalize formatting errors, and filter by pattern — not potential. Qualified people are being screened out every day, not because they lack the skills, but because their story was never translated into a language the machine could read.

This is also bad for employers — talent filtered out inaccurately due to digital prejudice. The person can often do the job just fine or even excel at it. They just get one shot to pass the gatekeeper, and the odds are stacked against them. But you can build something the system can't ignore.

The experiences you've been leaving off your resume might be the ones that matter most.

You've been told your path is a risk. By recruiters, by career coaches, by the voice in your own head. So you trimmed. You omitted. You shaped a version of yourself that fits on one page and tells a safe story.

But AI doesn't need safe. It needs complete. When you give it everything — the pivots, the gaps, the unexpected chapters — it finds connections you couldn't see yourself. It maps experience you thought was irrelevant to skills an employer is actively searching for. It turns the story you've been ashamed of into the story that gets you hired.

That's what the interview is for. That's why it takes 45–90 minutes. That's why it asks about influences, mentors, and career chapters most people skip. It's designed to pull out the things you've been hiding — because those are usually the things that matter most.

01
You answer. We push back.

Core positioning, verified facts & figures, six career narrative pillars, voice & tone, story selection guide, and current status. The questions most job seekers have never been asked — and have never asked themselves.

Three things most job seekers never have — all at once.

📖
A resume that tells a clear career story
Most resumes are a list of jobs. Yours will be a narrative — a coherent argument for why your specific path, in your specific sequence, makes you the right person for the role you're targeting.
🤖
A resume built to survive screening software
Your resume comes in five formats with an explicit guide on which to use where — a dedicated keyword block, formatting rules baked in, and a structure the screening algorithms can actually parse. Getting through the gate is step one.
An AI training file in your own voice
Drop your Career Context File into Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI tool and it instantly knows your career story, your tone, your proof points, and your rules. No more re-explaining yourself every session. No more generic output that sounds like everyone else.

Most professionals build their job search materials in isolation.

Resume here. LinkedIn there. Cover letter written fresh each time, under pressure, from scratch. The result is inconsistency — different language, different emphasis, different tone — across the very materials that are supposed to tell one coherent story.

Why context matters for ethical AI use

Without enough context, AI fills in the gaps with fiction — inventing achievements you never had, inflating numbers you never hit, and fabricating stories that never happened. Your Career Context File gives AI the truth to draw from. Every output is accurate, verifiable, and yours. Not hallucinated. Not embellished. Real.

Without a Career Context File
  • Rewriting your story from scratch every application
  • AI produces generic output — or worse, invents facts
  • Inconsistent language across resume, LinkedIn, cover letters
  • Numbers approximated from memory — or hallucinated by AI
  • No framework for interview answers under pressure
With a Career Context File
  • One document, every output consistent and on-brand
  • AI produces content that's accurate, verifiable, and sounds like you
  • Every number verified, every story ready to deploy
  • Your differentiator articulated before the interview asks
  • Updates once — everything downstream updates with it

If your career doesn't fit a straight line, this was built for you.

Not everyone follows the textbook path — the right high school, the name-brand university, the perfectly timed internship, the four-year degree into a job in the same field forever. For the rest of us, the career story is more interesting — and harder to tell in a one-page resume.

🔄
Career Pivoters
Switching industries and need to reframe your past experience as an asset, not a question mark.
🎲
Non-Linear Career Paths
Freelance stints, lateral moves, multiple industries, a startup that didn't work out. Your path has a story.
💪
Difficult Chapters
Layoffs, gaps, terminations, recessions. With the right framing, these become evidence of resilience.
🎓
Returning to Work
After caregiving, health, education, or any extended break. The gap isn't the problem — the framing is.
🚀
Overqualified & Under-Told
You've done impressive work but your resume undersells it. Time to articulate why it matters together.
🧰
Auto-Rejected by Algorithms
Sending applications and hearing nothing. Not because you're unqualified — because the system can't read you.
Why This Exists
“These are the rantings
of a crazy person.”

I sent over 200 job applications and got zero interviews. Not one callback. I had real experience, a non-linear career that actually told an interesting story — and complete silence.

Then a friend at one of the biggest tech companies in the world told me she'd tried to refer me for a role I had applied to directly. She never received my resume. The ATS had filtered me out before a human ever saw my name.

That night I sat down and info-dumped everything I'd ever done into an AI. Every job, every project, every person who shaped how I work. When I was done, I read it back and thought: these are the rantings of a crazy person. How does any of this fit together — and why should anyone care?

Having actually interviewed and hired people, I knew the answer had to be a story, not a list. So I built one — organized around six pillars that answer exactly that question. I called it a Career Context File.

A week later, I was no longer being auto-rejected. I overhauled my LinkedIn using the same document. People working in the field I'm pivoting into started finding me, following me, calling me a thought leader.

I built this tool so you don't have to have the breakdown first.
